Tensift

a river in Morocco. The Tensift is 270 km long. It originates on the slopes of the High Atlas Mountains and empties into the Atlantic Ocean. The water level is low in late summer, and there are brief but violent floods in winter and spring. The Tensift is used for irrigation.
