Teodoreanu, Ionel
Born Jan. 7,1897, in Iaşi; died Feb. 3, 1954, in Bucharest. Rumanian writer. Teodoreanu, who was a lawyer by profession, published his first work in 1919. The world of children and young people is the main theme of his works, beginning with his first collection, The Street of Childhood (1923). Teodoreanu wrote the trilogy At Medeleni, comprising the novels Changeable Boundary (1925), Roads (1925), and Among the Winds (1927). His subsequent novels combine fantasy and naturalism. In his novels Teodoreanu portrays the psychology of youth and the first manifestations of strong emotions. Of his reminiscences, the most important is The Table of Shadows (1946).
