In 2000, the World Wide Web consisted of about 21 terabytes of static HTML pages and is growing at a rate of 100 percent per year. Qualstar Corporation (Nasdaq:QBAK), a manufacturer of automated tape storage solutions, has announced its new RLS-4470 rack mounted automated tape library, which enables companies to store more than 18 terabytes (TB) of corporate-critical information in a minimum of space. As of today, two DATAllegro v3 appliances, each with more than a hundred terabytes of capacity, have been purchased by US-based customers. |
