Wawayanda State Park Location: Along the Warwick Turnpike just east of Highland Lakes, near the New Jersey-New York state line. Facilities: 3 group camping sites with a clivus restroom, picnic tables, playground, food concession, trails (60 miles), boat launch, boat and canoe rentals, restroom adjacent to beach, viewing points. Activities: Group camping, boating (electric motors only), canoeing, hunting, fishing, swimming, hiking, bicycling, mountain biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, ice skating, ice fishing, snowmobiling. Special Features: Park is crisscrossed by a network of trails including a 19.6-mile segment of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail (see separate entry in national trails section).
