(1) (Consumer Electronics Control) See HDMI CEC.

(2) (Central Electronic Complex) The set of hardware that defines a mainframe, which includes the CPU(s), memory, channels, controllers and power supplies included in the box. Some CECs, such as IBM's Multiprise 2000 and 3000, include data storage devices as well. Also known as "processor complex."

Despite the difficult internal situation in Palestine, the CEC said it maintains hope that the situation will improve in the near future, stressing that the political circumstances should not prevent anyone from viewing elections as a legal constitutional entitlement.
