| Trade delegates and guests enjoyed a performance by traditional Aboriginal dancers, a Theatre in the Round presentation reliving the stories of how five current residents settled in Sault Ste. Crowned by a lightweight, tent-like roof, the central space is transformed into a theatre in the round, animated by a short, cyclical son et lumiere. By incorporating not just drawings and photographs of buildings but also wallpaper samples, textile designs, ceramics, furniture and decorative schemes among the 150 exhibits on view, Bard succeeded in creating a kind of theatre in the round, an inside/outside look at the Aesthetic Movement's intense engagement with artistic style. |
