Therapsida [thə′rap·səd·ə]
(paleontology)
An order of mammallike reptiles of the subclass Synapsida which first appeared in mid-Permian times and persisted until the end of the Triassic.

Therapsida 

an order of extinct reptiles of the subclass Synapsida, comprising three suborders: Deinocephalia, Theriodontia, and Anomodontia. The order lived from the Late Permian to the Middle Jurassic, inclusively.
