(inorganic chemistry) H2S2O3An unstable acid that decomposes readily to form sulfur and sulfurous acid. Thiosulfuric Acid (H2S2O3), an unstable dibasic acid that has not been obtained in the free state. It is a derivative of sulfuric acid in which one oxygen atom is replaced by a sulfur atom.
