Thompson, Oscar

(1887–1945) music critic; born in Crawfordsville, Ind. He began with Musical America in 1919 and later wrote for the New York Evening Post and New York Sun; he also taught at Curtis Institute. His books include Debussy, Man and Artist (1937).
