SALAH AL-DIN / Aswat al-Iraq: An explosive charge on Monday was found at Tikrit University and was safely defused by bomb squad personnel, according to a local police source.
A security force captured the 12th escapee from Tikrit prison among the 16 detainees who had escaped from a prison in Tikrit two weeks ago, the commander of al-Dhloeya police department, lieutenant colonel Mohamed Khalid stated to NINA.
Early this morning, our forces arrested Waleed Ayash, one of the Al-Qaeda members who escaped from Tikrit prison Wednesday evening," said a high-ranking police officer in the province, who declined to be named because he was not authorised to speak to the media.
