Tomlin, Bradley (Walker) (1899–1953) painter; born in Syracuse, N.Y. He traveled in Europe often, settled in New York City (1927), became a commercial artist, and taught at Sarah Lawrence College (1932–41). By 1937 he was working in a cubist manner and, later, used a calligraphic style, as in Number 20 (1949).
