A trail, track, or burrow made by an animal and found in ancient sediments such as sandstone, shale, or limestone. Also known as ichnofossil.

Researchers and students from the Murie Science and Learning Center in Denali Park, Alaska and the Dallas Museum of Natural History in Dallas, Texas, have unearthed 18 new trace fossil sites in Alaska's Denali National Park and Preserve.
