(organic chemistry)
(C4H9)3PO4A combustible, toxic, stable liquid; soluble in most solvents, and very slightly soluble in water; boils at 292°C; used as a heat-exchange medium, pigment-grinding assistant, antifoam agent, and solvent. Abbreviated TBP.
