(organic chemistry)
(CH3C6H4O)3PO A combustible, colorless liquid; insoluble in water, soluble in common solvents and vegetable oils; boils at 420°C; used as a plasticizer, plastics fire retardant, air-filter medium, and gasoline and lubricant additive. Abbreviated TCP.

Leading toxicologist Professor Christian van Netten analysed 30 swabs in total, which were taken by undercover journalists, and found that twenty-eight samples contained high levels of tricresyl phosphate (TCP).
But the possibility that aircraft passengers and crew might be exposed to trace amounts of another phosphorus compound - tricresyl phosphate - has been mentioned 1,670 times in the same period.
