Trinidad Lake State Park

Location: 3 miles west of Trinidad on CO 12.
Facilities: 62 campsites, electrical hookups, group campground, laundry, showers, restrooms, 46 picnic sites, group picnic area, hiking/bicycle trails (10 miles), bridle trails (4 miles), boat ramp, mooring/docking, visitor/nature center (é).
Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, water-skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, hunting (with restrictions), cross-country skiing, ice skating, ice fishing, winter camping, interpretive programs (seasonal).
Special Features: Park is located in the foothills of southern Colorado, bordered by the historic Santa Fe Trail and the scenic Highway of Legends. The nearby city of Trinidad was home and resting place to such famous names of the Old West as Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, Kit Carson, and Billy the Kid.
