1. one of three offspring born at one birth
2. Music a group of three notes played in a time value of two, four, etc.
3. Chem a state of a molecule or free radical in which there are two unpaired electrons

A three-base unit in deoxyribonucleic or ribonucleic acid which codes for a particular amino acid in a protein chain.
(navigation)
A group of three synchronous transmitting stations operating as a system to provide signals for determination of position. Also known as triad.
(optics)
A compound lens made up of three components.
