Trotter, Mildred (1899– ) physical anthropologist; born in Monaca, Pa. She studied and taught at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Mo. (1920–67). She quantified anatomical variations in American blacks and whites, particularly regarding hair distribution and skeletal weight differences due to aging.
