Troy Springs State Park Location: Off County Road 425, 1.3 miles north of US 27. Facilities: Boat dock, picnic tables, restrooms, walkway (é). Hiking and equestrian trails are under construction. The horse trail will include a 14-stall barn, wash rack, public restroom, and a primitive camping area. Activities: Boating/canoeing/kayaking, fishing, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving (proof of certification required). Special Features: Troy Springs is a recent addition to the Florida state park system. The depths of the 70-feet deep, first magnitude spring contain the remains of a Civil War-era steamboat that was scuttled in the spring run in 1863 to keep it from being captured.
