TCG
(Trusted Computing Group, Beaverton, OR, www.trustedcomputinggroup.org) The successor to the Trusted Computer Platform Alliance (TCPA), it was founded in 2003 by AMD, HP, IBM, Intel and Microsoft. TCG is involved in numerous projects for hardening computers and peripherals to make them more secure and tamper proof. The organization is noted for its Trusted Platform Module (TPM), which is a security chip for PC motherboards, mobile devices and network equipment. The TPM chip provides hardware-based key generation and encryption for implementing a software-based security platform. See NGSCB.

com (Staff) The world's largest disk drive makers have pledged to support three new Trusted Computing Group (TCG) encryption standards for hard disk drives, solid-state drives and encryption-key management applications.

Kaspersky Lab have announced that they are joining the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) to support the Trusted Network Connect (TNC) open standards, a set of non-proprietary specifications that enables the application and enforcement of security requirements for endpoint devices connecting to a network.
