Tsinling 

a mountain range in China, adjoining the Kunlun Mountains on the east. The range is approximately 1,000 km long and has elevations up to 3,666 m. It is composed primarily of limestones and schists. Deep canyons cut through the western part of the range; the eastern part branches to form four divergent ridges. The northern slopes are steep; the southern slopes are gently sloping. Dry steppes and temperate-zone deciduous forests are found on the northern slopes; evergreen subtropical mixed forests with bamboo, camellias, and magnolias are found on the southern slopes. The range has a deposit of molybdenum ores.
