An instructional book or program that takes the user through a prescribed sequence of steps in order to learn a product. Contrast with documentation, which, although instructional, tends to group features and functions by category. See tutorials in this publication.

A method of computer-assisted instruction that involves a collection of screen formats, generally arranged in sequences that can be selected from a menu, and presented in response to the terminal operator's request.
