Established: 1990.
Location:15 miles northwest of Denver, Colorado, in the suburban community of Arvada.
Facilities:Trails, viewing sites.
Activities:Hiking, wildlife observation, guided tours.
Special Features:113 species of birds have been observed on refuge land, mostly during the spring, summer, and fall; 22 nest here.
Habitats: 72 acres of grassy wetlands and uplands with three small ponds.
Access: Open year round during daylight hours.
Wild life: Deer, red fox, turtles, raccoon, sparrows, hawks, woodpeckers, magpies, warblers, and herons.
