Founded in 1933, the magazine is published in Washington, D.C., by U.S. News & World Report, Inc., part of the shares of which are held by the Rockefeller family. The magazine frequently reflects the views of the most reactionary segment of the ruling circles of the USA. Circulation, more than 2.1 million (1980).
