Uda

UDA
(Universal Data Access) An umbrella term from Microsoft for its combined set of standards for file and database access. UDA includes ODBC, ADO, OLE DB and RDS. See ODBC, ADO, OLE DB and RDS.
Uda 

a river in the Buriat ASSR; a right tributary of the Selenga River. The Uda, which rises on the Vitim Plateau, is 467 km long and drains an area of 34,800 sq km. It is fed mainly by snow. The mean flow rate 5 km from the mouth is 69.8 cu m per sec; the maximum flow rate is 1,240 cu m per sec, and the minimum, 1.29 cu m per sec. The Uda freezes in October or November and opens up in April or early May. In the upper course, the river freezes down to the bottom and remains thus for 2½ to 4½ months (December to April). The main tributaries are the Khu-dun, on the left, and the Kurba, on the right. The Uda is used for floating timber and for irrigation. Ulan Ude, the capital of the Buriat ASSR, is situated at the mouth of the river.

Uda 

(also Ud), a river in Khabarovsk Krai, RSFSR. The Uda is 457 km long and drains an area of 61,300 sq km. It rises on the northern slope of the Dzhagdy Range and empties into Uda Bay in the Sea of Okhotsk. Fed mainly by rain, the river has a mean flow rate of 510 cu m per sec. The Uda freezes in late October or November, and the ice breaks up in May. The river is a spawning ground for salmon. The port of Chumikan is situated at the mouth of the Uda.
