God Save the Queen can remain the UK anthem but it's high time England had its own anthem, just like Wales and Scotland have theirs.
Embrace's new single may be the official UK anthem, but in Birmingham most fans wanted Land Of Hope and Glory.
I am assuming God Save The Queen is the UK anthem because if it is not, we are asking Scots, Welsh and Northern Ireland sports people, when representingGreat Britain, to stand to attention to the anthem of England -- which I find this demeaning.
