It is now possible to place a static UPS unit in the same room as the computer equipment representing the critical load. MGE's modular Galaxy PW 100 kVA UPS unit for medium to large scale data center installations, as well as other products from Schneider Electric brands such as Square D, TAC and Integral Technologies also will be displayed at the new center. In the second quarter (2Q 2004), Pentadyne will install a VSS 120 unit in Germany to demonstrate how the flywheel power system can replace batteries in a UPS unit to improve reliability and costs associated with short battery life spans. |
