Ul’ba Range
a mountain range in the western Altai Mountains. Measuring about 100 km in length, the Ul’ba Range rises to an elevation of 2,371 m, at Mount Verkhniaia Ul’ba. It is composed primarily of sandstones, limestones, schists, and granites. Flat peaks predominate, and the slopes are greatly dissected. The lower parts of the slopes are covered with steppe vegetation. There are mixed forests at higher elevations and coniferous forests in the northeast. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
