UltimateTVA digital video recorder (DVR) service from Microsoft (www.ultimatetv.com) that adds digital video recording to the DIRECTV satellite service. In 2002, Microsoft discontinued further enhancements to the product. However, in 2007, a service update was made available to existing subscribers via an automatic satellite download.
