| In 1975, this field was originally drilled on its crest, where the Upper Jurassic Sands are missing. In the January AMERICAN JOURNAL OF SCIENCE, the three researchers report that Hallopus actually came from the upper Jurassic, about 40 to 50 million years later than Marsh had suggested. Uranium mineralization on the San Rafael Project area lies within a stratigraphic sequence comprised of permeable sandstones of a member of the Upper Jurassic Morrison Formation. |
