(inorganic chemistry)
UF6Highly toxic, radioactive, corrosive, colorless crystals; soluble in carbon tetrachloride, fluorocarbons, and liquid halogens; it reacts vigorously with alcohol, water, ether, and most metals, and it sublimes; used to separate uranium isotopes in the gaseous-diffusion process.
