Usmoshvets, Ian
(also Ian Usmar’). Date of birth unknown; died after 1004. Ancient Russian bogatyr’ (warrior). The son of a Kievan tanner, Usmoshvets defeated a Pecheneg bogatyr’ at the Trubezh River in 992.
