Uspekhi Khimii

 

(Advances in Chemistry), a monthly scientific journal of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Published in Moscow since 1932, Uspekhi khimii carries articles by Soviet and foreign scientists on the advances in various branches of chemistry and on the scientific principles underlying chemical technology; special attention is given to the latest data. Circulation, approximately 3,110 (1978).

In the event any Soviet chemists did not get these points, similar critiques appeared in the communist party newspaper, Pravda, and the journals, Zhurnal Fizicheskoi Khimii (Journal of Physical Chemistry) and Uspekhi Khimii (Russian Chemistry), (64) the latter of which was written by Yuri Zhdanov, head of the Communist party's central committee's Department of Science.
