Ute Lake State Park Location: 3 miles west of Logan via NM 540. Facilities: 142 developed campsites (77 with electric hookups), restrooms (é), showers, picnic areas (é), group shelters, trails, marina, boat rentals, 5 boat ramps, courtesy docks, visitor center. Activities: Camping, boating, sailing, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, jet skiing, hiking, wildlife viewing, interpretive programs (seasonal). Special Features: Ute Lake, an impoundment on the Canadian River, is one of the longest lakes in the state at nearly 13 miles. It is also narrow, with its width never exceeding one mile. The lake offers some of the best walleye fishing in New Mexico, and visitors can fish 24 hours a day every day of the year.
