An ITU-T modem protocol which allowed data rates of 1200 bps. V.22bis doubled this.

V.22

An ITU standard (1980) for asynchronous and synchronous 600 and 1,200 bps full-duplex analog modems for use on dial-up lines. It uses DPSK modulation.
