VESA Plug & Display
A digital interface for a flat panel display from VESA. Based on TMDS transmission and evolving from the VESA Enhanced Video Connector (EVC), P&D also supports the analog interface and VGA connector. It allows for USB and FireWire signals to be carried with the digital video stream. Although used on various data projectors, P&D was superseded by DFP from VESA, and eventually, the DVI interface became more popular. See DVI, flat panel display and VESA Enhanced Video Connector.

Plug & Display Connector
The P&D connector and subsequent DVI connectors use the same kind of angled, twisted pins. There are P&D to DVI adapters to hook up earlier P&D products to DVI devices.
