Location: About 55 miles east of Grand Junction, turn south off I-70 onto CO 65, then east on CO 330 through Collbran and continue 12 miles to park entrance.
Facilities: 108 campsites, electrical hookups, showers, restrooms, 5 camper cabins, group campground, 50 picnic sites, group picnic area, multi-use trails (2 miles), 3 boat ramps, visitor/nature center (é).
Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, water-skiing, jet skiing, sailboarding, hiking, mountain biking, ATV riding, hunting (with restrictions), snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice fishing, snowtubing, winter camping, interpretive programs (seasonal).
Special Features: Vega Lake sits in an alpine meadow on the west edge of Grand Mesa National Forest (see entry in national forests section).
