the name of several rivers in the USSR:

(1) A river in Kostroma Oblast, RSFSR; left tributary of the Kostroma River, flowing from Lake Galich. Length, 84 km; basin area, 2,880 sq km. The city of Bui is located at its mouth.

(2) A river in Kostroma Oblast, draining Lake Chukhloma into the Kostroma River. Length, 43 km; basin area, 1,360 sq km. It is used for floating timber.

(3) A river in Vologda Oblast; left tributary of the Vologda River (Severnaia Dvina basin). Length, 9 km.
