Vestnik Statistiki
(Journal of Statistics), a monthly journal of the Central Statistical Board of the USSR. Published in Moscow since 1919 (with an interruption from 1930 to 1949). Vestnik Statistiki deals with problems of the theory and practice of statistics in various fields of the national economy, the organization of computational statistical operations in the USSR and foreign countries, and the mechanized processing of economic information and the utilization of modern computer technology. It also publishes reviews of new books on problems of statistics, such as the mechanization of computational statistical operations. The journal is intended for scholars, clerical workers, and students in the field of statistics and computation. Its circulation (as of 1971) is 34,900. A. T.
