With graphics 10 times sharper than the previous version, PlayStation 2, the most highly anticipated videogame console ever, arrives in stores Thursday (for those of you who preordered). Experts also will discuss the growing exergaming market, along with efforts to use Nintendo's GameCube and other videogame console systems to create new interfaces for doctors and patients to manage chronic diseases. ``I don't think the PlayStation 2 will have more than 1 million units here this year, and they're all sold, which may lead people to buy the Dreamcast if they want a new videogame console for Christmas,'' said Tom Russo, editor in chief of Next Gen, a Brisbane, Calif. |
