Makeev, Viktor Petrovich
Born Oct. 25, 1924, in the settlement of Kirova Imeni, Kolomna Raion, Moscow Oblast (now within the Moscow city limits). Soviet scientist; specialist in mechanics. Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1968); Hero of Socialist Labor (1961). Member of the CPSU since 1951. Makeev graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute in 1948 and is director of a research organization. He was elected a candidate member of the Central Committee at the Twentyfourth Congress of the CPSU. He was a deputy to the seventh and eighth convocations of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. Makeev has been awarded the Lenin Prize, the State Prize of the USSR, three Orders of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, and various medals. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
