Vina Del Mar

Vin̄a Del Mar 

a city in Chile. Population, 145,700 (1968). It and Valparaiso form a metropolitan area. It has a railroad station and is a port on the Pacific Ocean. Vina del Mar is also a center for chemical, textile, and food-processing industries. Nearby are an oil refinery and tank farm, as well as a harbor for oil transport. A seaside health resort is also located here.
