Vitautas Iustino Bredikis

Bredikis, Vitautas Iustino 

(Vytautas Briedikis Justino). Born Nov. 20, 1930, in the city of Biržai, Lithuanian SSR. Soviet architect.

From 1949 to 1955, Bredikis studied at the Art Institute of the Lithuanian SSR in Vilnius, where he now teaches. He has designed and supervised the construction of several major urban complexes, for example, a public square in front of the Vilnius railroad station (1962–65). He worked on the architectural team responsible for the new Art Institute of the Lithuanian SSR (1966–70) and collaborated on structural and architectural plans for the Lazdynai residential district in Vilnius (1965–66, 1969–73; Lenin Prize, 1974).
