an urban-type settlement in Moscow Oblast, RSFSR. Terminal railroad station (called Aeroport) of the line from Lesnoi Gorodok station. Population, 12,000 (1969). Vnukovo is the site of one of Moscow’s airports, which is connected to Moscow by a highway. The first air terminal was under construction from 1939 to 1941; in 1960 the Vnukovo I terminal was built, and in 1964 the Vnukovo II.
