Chief among them: A unique disc-valve design that handles both the inlet and outlet valves of the compression cylinder, allowing trapped gases to be removed from the cylinder, which improves volumetric efficiency, while spark plug firing has been configured to occur after top dead center for improved thermal performance.
Good volumetric efficiency is achieved using a robust internal rotary group and proven axial tapered piston technology, according to the company.
An analysis report commissioned by the United States Department of Energy states, "A system treated with Frigaid will experience increased volumetric efficiency, reduced laminar flow, quieter operation, compressor seal protection, increased resistance to oxidation, a 1500% increase in lubricating ability, reduced run time, extended equipment life and energy savings averaging 21.
