Vorenburg, James (1928– ) lawyer, educator; born in Boston, Mass. He began his legal career as law clerk to Justice Felix Frankfurter (1953–54) and received public recognition as assistant special prosecutor to the Watergate Special Prosecution Force (1973–75) that led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. A professor at Harvard Law School from 1962 and dean from 1981, he was executive director of the federal Committee on Law Enforcement and Administration of Justice (1965–67) and was a trustee of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Legal Defense Fund. |
