Born Feb. 7, 1927, in Bileća. Yugoslav director.
Vukotić studied architecture in Zagreb. In 1950 he began working in films. He directed the animated cartoons Cowboy Jimmy (1957), Cow on the Moon (1959), Piccolo (1960), The Substitute (1961), The Game (1963), and others. Vukotić is a major figure in Yugoslav cinema art and a representative of the so-called Zagreb school of animated cinematography, which is characterized by the wide application of modern fine arts, especially graphics. His films have been awarded prizes at many international film festivals.
