Wah-Sha-She State Park Location: 15 miles north of Pawhuska on SH 99, then 10 miles east on SH 10; or from Hwy 75, 13 miles west on Hwy 10. Facilities: 46 semi-modern campsites, 112 primitive campsites, showers, picnic area, 3 group shelters, trail, swimming beach, boat ramp, boat dock (é). Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, hunting (nearby). Special Features: Park is located on the east side of 3,600-acre Hulah Lake, just north of the dam. The name "Hulah" was derived from the Osage word for eagle, and wintering eagles are a common sight on the lake, January through mid-March.
