Warner, Edward (Pearson) (1894–1958) aeronautical engineer, international civil servant; born in Pittsburgh, Pa. Teaching at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1920–26), he influenced aeronautic pioneers. As assistant secretary of the navy for aeronautics (1926–29), he assisted the growth of American aviation. He was editor of Aviation (1929–34), an adviser to the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB), and head of the International Civil Aviation Organization (1947–57). How to thank TFD for its existence?
