Water Profile

    0.01 sec.
Water Profile

the cross section of a current.

The water profile has a live profile—that part of the water profile in which the velocity of the current is greater than the threshold of sensitivity of instruments used to determine the flow of water—and dead space—that part of the water profile in which the velocity is less than the threshold of sensitivity of the instruments. When there is an ice cover, the water profile includes the full area of the cross section of flow minus the area of submerged immovable ice (surface and underwater).

1 Water profile improvement For the interstratal heterogeneous cores, there is an isolating layer, flow trough higher and lower permeable layers can be measured separately, thus fractional flow change before and after polymer flooding can be used to characterize the degree of improving water profile, so we adopt the percentage of separate layer FH and FL to show the flow change.
The satellite will provide a platform to support environmental monitoring instruments for imaging and measuring the Earth's atmosphere, its surface and cloud cover, including Earth radiation, atmospheric ozone, aerosol distribution, sea surface temperature and vertical temperature and water profiles.
The system is capable of storing 250 water profiles in memory, and its built-in Bluetooth communications interface enables users to download results to any lab computer or communicate them wirelessly via cell phone to Sensicore's WaterNOW service in real time.
