Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, tennis, cross-country skiing, nature and recreation program (seasonal).
Special Features: West Virginia's largest state park, Watoga is located in the Appalachian highlands along the state's eastern border. The park's unusual name is derived from the Cherokee word "watauga," which means "the river of islands."
